Freelance Outreach Programs, Inc. is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1996 by Scott Kerns, a disabled veteran who saw a need to assist other veterans struggling to understand and traverse the maize of red tape in their attempts to obtain service connected benefits after leaving the armed services. Over the years, what began as a help service grew into a full service outreach volunteer program for veterans, active duty service personnel, at risk youth, and families in low income communities.

For the past 20 years, we’ve proudly sponsored the Toys for Tots Christmas Program, supporting children in need during the holiday season. Our enduring partnership with the Good Samaritan Help Center has allowed us to provide counseling services in collaboration with Georgia Therapeutical. As active members of Armark and LV Restaurants’ fundraising initiatives, we’re dedicated to making a positive impact within our community.
Presently, we’re deeply engaged in meaningful projects. We’re facilitating the Georgia Opioid Project and concurrently developing a counseling program focused on opioid and substance abuse. This program is being developed in partnership with the Department of Behavioral Health in Georgia. We’re committed to making a tangible difference in addressing these crucial issues affecting our community.
